Michelle Kaufmann
Michelle Kaufmann founded Michelle Kaufmann Designs in 2002.
Growing up in Iowa, Kaufmann has always had a deep understanding of the relationship between humankind and the environment. This awareness is engrained in all that she does. She believes that how we develop our landscape is such an integral part of our culture and that what we build, and how we build, should improve the environment rather than harm it.
mkCOMMUNE
Part table, part island, mkCOMMUNE saves on space while maximizes beauty and flexibility. As a table, it can easily accommodate 4 people. As an island, it is the perfect countertop for preparing, mixing, and cooking while connecting to the living space. mkCOMMUNE is designed by Michelle Kaufmann Designs, and built by and offered through Concreteworks.
mkCOMMUNE is 36” high. (you will want chairs that work with 36” height).
mkCOMMUNE is available with either painted steel legs, or stainless steel legs. It is available with our without cabinetry below. We can provide shop drawings for cabinetry if you choose to build the cabinetry yourself. If you choose to order the cabinets shelves from us, it is available in a chocolate oak (as shown in photo).
