2012 / San Francisco, CA
Bartop, sink, oven panel
Designed in partnership with Lundberg Design, Abbot’s Cellar focus on beer is emphasized with several design elements. The restaurant is located in the Mission District of San Francisco in a building that was formerly a garage, with exposed brick and twenty-four foot ceilings. The Abbot’s Cellar team wanted to capture materials and textures of an Old World monastery, similar to that of sister restaurant, The Monk’s Kettle. Concreteworks fabricated the custom beer bottle sink made with a terrazzo mix which includes recycled beer bottle glass, the oven panel with a pig graphic etched into the surface as well as the main bar top.
