Saltwater Oyster Depot

2012 / Inverness, CA

Bartop with integrated shellfish basins

Saltwater Oyster Depot is nestled alongside Tomales Bay in Inverness, Ca., a bit north of the San Francisco Bay Area. The restaurant, designed in collaboration with Andrew Tarcin of Sagan-Piechota Architecture, consists of light and neutral tones, making the restaurant cool and inviting. The remodel included a Concreteworks bartop with an incorporated shellfish basins to hold ice and oysters to be served fresh from local Pickleweed Point Oyster Company, among others. Saltwater was opened with the help of crowd-sourced funding from the community in June of 2012 by Luc Chamberland.
